Papa Johns offered 23 cent pizzas to ohio residents yesterday to ” make up ” for the tshirts that said cry baby in the washington wizards series which featured a number 23 on it( referring to Lebron James complaints about being fouled in the series) .
With expecting sales over 75000 pizzas , Papa Johns could post a pretty big loss for the day, but that being said the benefits they received from the 1 day promotion could only help the company in the future. Think of it this way - Papa Johns received basically 4 days for free publicity for the promotion.
People stood outside in lines for nearly 8 hours for 23cent pizza? are you kidding? It looks more like a limited Nike or Jordan release.
