Why did Carmelo Anthony cut his braids?

Why did Carmelo cut his hair? He lost a bet.
Carmelo Anthony said good-bye to his signature cornrows last week and now is sporting a more conservative short ‘do. I initially suspected he cut his hair to help clean up his image; after all, this bad boy is often misbehaving on and off the court.
But I think I’m wrong.
It appears that the Nuggets star forward cut his hair so he could begin generating publicity for his new “posh” barbershop, STUDIO 15, likely named for the number he dons on his jersey.
STUDIO 15 is hosting its Grand Opening on Thursday, Nov. 6th. Carmelo will be making a special appearance from 3-4pm.
And now dawns a new era in Denver history: Carmelo the businessman.
